Bill's Quilt

He said to me, last year... when do I get my quilt? So I set out to do one for him. It was a 8 month project-very detailed and difficult piecing pattern. I chose a pattern called 'Card Trick' that I found in a sampler quilt pattern book. The top of thebquilt is made of Batik fabrics- it is pieced with quarter square triangles; and the backing is 100% cotton domestic fabric. The backing is not pieced it is a full piece of material. The batting is 'Warm & Natural' cotton.

Instead of attempting to quilt this enormous King size quilt I had my local quilt shop owner-Nina Keck- do the longarm machine quilting.

The result is beautiful and I am thrilled that I learned this process. I also am going to enter it into the Quilt Show that will be in March 2009.
