The newest Smith has arrived...

It may look like a sewing machine, but it is so much more....
I received my new Bernina 830 yesterday. It is 3 times larger than my other machine one of the embroidery hoops is too. In fact if you look closely at the drawer opening under the machine, that is the hole I used to set my old machine into. It is a computerized sewing machine and it does everything but the dishes. I will be able to do quilting without too much of a struggle, as the throat opening is 12" as opposed to 7 or 8", much easier to get large bulky quilt through it.
Now I am selling the 430 and the embroidery unit that goes with it. It will be a bargain for anyone who would like to have own it and give it a good home.
Sew here's to a fun time on the newest Smith arrival.

Sadly.....

Good Monday Morning.
I sent out the wallhanging/table runner to Alaska for the silent auction, but sadly it never arrived. I can't imagine where it went. I am sad because it was a contribution for a money raising event that my Granddaughter was going to benefit from. Summer camp in Alaska, doesn't that sound great? I can only hope that whomever ended up with the Tulips of Spring, will enjoy their prize.

This one is for Kellee

Well, In February this year, Kellee Rhian Jackson-my granddaughter, became ill with RSV. She was rushed to the emergency room and treated with IV fluids, antibiotics and steroids before she was released and sent home with her family. Scary moment for all parents (and gramma's). The next day she was feeling much better, due to the steroid treatments she was getting and wanted to get outdoors and do what all little kids do...PLAY.
So I told her I was going to make a 'Love Blankie' that she could curl up with when she didn't feel good... her reply was classic...
"I don't want a blankie, I want to play"
So here's to Kellee...
